Simon and his family have just moved back to their old hometown, back to the old family house, and, unfortunately, back to the old family curse. Simon is less than thrilled, and also a little spooked. No one believes him when he says the house is haunted. But Simon has seen the ghost of his great-grandfather Thomas, a notorious coward in World War I, roaming the halls at night. Maybe it's just a dream. But then Simon dozes off and awakens in the trenches of a battlefield in France, trapped with Thomas in a hailstorm of bombs. . .
