The Stocking (Campbell)

The Stocking is a short story written by Ramsey Campbell.  It was first published in the 1968 anthology Tandem Horror 2, edited by Richard Davis.  It was reprinted in Campbell's 1973 collection Demons by Daylight.  It was published again in the 1998 anthology 100 Menacing Little Murder Stories, edited by Robert Weinberg, Stefan Dziemianowicz, and Martin H. Greenberg.
