The Rope in the Rafters

The Rope in the Rafters is a novelette written by Oliver Onions. It was first published in the 1935 collections Ghost Stories and The Collected Ghost Stories of Oliver Onions. It was reprinted in the 1988 anthology The Mammoth Book of Short Horror Novels, edited by Mike Ashley. Finally it was reprinted in the 2010 posthumous collection The Dead of Night: The Ghost Stories of Oliver Onions.
