The Long Way is a novelette written by Ramsey Campbell. It was first published as a chapbook in 2008. It was reprinted in the 2009 anthology The Mammoth Book of Best New Horror 20, edited by Stephen Jones, in the 2013 collection Holes for Faces, in the 2020 collection The Retrospective & Other Phantasmagorical Stories, and in the 2020 anthology Footsteps in the Dark.
