The Head is a short story written by Robert Bloch. It was first published in the 1976 anthology The Ides of Tomorrow: Original Science Fiction Tales of Horror, edited by Terry Carr. It was reprinted in the 1979 collection Such Stuff As Screams Are Made Of.
