Terry Chaney was a victim of the Flight 180 aftermath and cheater of Death. She appeared only of the First Final Destination and was portrayed by Amanda Detmer.

Terry Chaney was the girlfriend of Carter Horton and fellow student of Mt. Abraham High School, the main public school of the Pennsylvanian town, which she lived in from 1984 to her death in 2000.

Terry Chaney was minor friends with Alex Browning but the rest of those around her were killed on Flight 180.

The vision

Terry is seen leaving her boyfriend Carter Horton on the bus. She accompanies her high school class while boarding flight 180, where she kisses Carter in the waiting area.

She gets on the plane and sits next to Carter, only to hear Alex Browning say the plane is going to explode. This makes Terry stand up angrily, saying that this is not funny .However, Alex keeps saying that there will be a disaster that will kill everyone on board. Carter gets angry and starts fighting with Alex, causing security guards to expel both. Terry follows his boyfriend, trying to stop their fight, where Sam Lawton and Molly Harper watch the scene from afar.

In the waiting area, Terry is indifferent to the plane's departure as soon as he begins to taxi. Carter overhears Alex saying that he had a premonition, where the fight resumes again, much to Terry's dismay. Flight 180 explodes and breaks the windows, startling her and shocking her.

Aftermath

Terry is seen with the other six survivors in a waiting room to testify with the FBI. She is sitting next to Carter and does not express much emotions regarding the tragedy she witnessed minutes before. She is seen reuniting with her parents as soon as they are released.

Forty days later, Terry goes with Carter to a memorial for the disaster. She is again unhappy with Carter and Alex's arguments, being shown a little disappointed by her boyfriend's attitude towards the tragedy.

During a ride with her troubled boyfriend by car, she follows the attentive look he gives Alex at a coffee shop. They do a risky maneuver on the street, almost running over William Hitchcock.

On the pretext of greeting Valerie Lewton, Carter argues again with Alex for Terry's fury. She argues with him, talking about her obsession with Alex Browning and that she intends to walk away from him while she walks into the street without paying attention to traffic .At this point, Terry is run over violently by a speeding bus that spills his blood on the remaining five survivors. Terry Chaney's grave is not shown but a memorial of all the flight 180 victims the latest deaths of their survivours are engraved on a tombstone in Restville Cemetery. Later that evening, Carter returned to the memorial and unsuccessfully tried to add her name to the list of victims with a pocketknife.

Later, Carter wanted to crash his car or get into an accident with a train, but he didn’t succeed.

(Carter died as number 5 as stated after Terry's death.)

Carter died Six months later in Paris. He saved Alex from a giant falling sign,

But the Giant Neon Sign turned back and severely killed and horribly crushed Carter.

The ship is the most written ship for Terry on AO3 and the second most written ship for Carter on AO3. It is also the fifth most written ship for Final Destination on AO3.

Right after the explosion of Flight 180, Terry is seen with a collection of buses behind her, giving an illusion of what her death will be like.
She is the first survivor to be hit by a vehicle at high speed, the second is George from The Final Destination.
Terry and Nadia Monroy share similarities. The two are girlfriends of troubled men and angry with the protagonist. The two are saved from the initial disaster, but die shortly after a heated argument while they are talking about their actions.
If it weren't for Terry's death, Katherine Jennings would never have gone to the hotel to meet with a client and die suffocated by a toxic gas leak at the site.
Terry's surname is probably a reference to the famous silent horror film actor, Lon Chaney.

Theresa "Terry" Chaney, played by Amanda Detmer, is a fictional character who first appeared in the 2000 film Final Destination.

Terry is one of the survivors of Flight 180. She is the second survivor to die.

Terry is a student at Mt. Abraham High School, and the girlfriend of Carter Horton. She boards Flight 180 with Carter for their senior trip to Paris, but when Alex Browning warns everyone that the plane will explode, Carter attacks him, and is thrown off the plane. Terry follows him off as well, and witnesses the plane explode shortly after. Following the accident, Terry is ignored by Carter, who seems more interested in starting fights with Alex. While driving past a cafe, Carter sees Alex and instigates another fight. After berating Carter, Terry storms off in anger, and is suddenly hit by a speeding bus.

Terry is mentioned in Final Destination 2 by Kat Jennings, who says that she was on her way to a bed and breakfast when the bus she was riding hit Terry. As a result, she avoided a gas leak that suffocated the guests staying at the lodge. Terry's death is referenced during the opening credits of The Final Destination, and she is seen again via archive footage in Final Destination 5.

Terry and her friends Alex and Carter and others four classmates, is seen being thrown off of Flight 180 moments before it explodes.
