Dr. Sam Loomis attempted, for years, to get through to young Michael Myers. However, on the night before Halloween in 1978, Michael escaped and went home to Haddonfield, Illinois, murdering multiple people until he was seemingly killed in an explosion in Haddonfield Memorial Hospital.
