Sgt. Garcia, played by Joe Unger, is a character in the 1984 film A Nightmare on Elm Street.
Sgt. Garcia works in the Springwood Police Department, under Lt. Don Thompson.
After Rod Lane was wrongly apprehended for the murder of Tina Gray, Nancy Thompson comes to the jail after seeing Rod's death in a dream. She begs to go see him in his cell to intervene before Freddy Krueger kills him, but Sgt. Garcia's flippant attitude delays her from going back immediately.
When they finally get to Rod's cell, Freddy has already wrapped Rod's sheets around his neck and hanged him, making it appear to be a suicide.
