Samuel Elias Brett, played by Harry Dean Stanton, is a character in the 1979 film Alien
Brett is an engineering technician on the Nostromo and a good friend of his engineering chief, Parker. He persistently angles for the increased-pay and bonus awards he feels are due him.
While the crew searches for the Alien, Brett tries to retrieve the cat, Jones; he encounters the mature Alien, which kills him and drags him into an air duct.
