Samhain is a character who periodically makes appearances in various episodes of The Real Ghostbusters and Extreme Ghostbusters, and in comic books and games.
Samhain was a powerful creature who was eventually trapped in stone. When goblins released Samhain he immediately sent ghost and goblin minions out to do his bidding and froze time so that it would be eternal night. The Ghostbusters discovered his weakness to light. After several failed attempts to use light as a weapon against him, they finally managed to trap him and placed him into the containment unit.
