Penelope Benson is a character in the Goosebumps book Welcome to Dead House written by R. L. Stine. It was adapted for television and her character was played by Elizabeth Saunders.
Penelope, her husband Mr. Benson, and their children Amanda and Josh Benson move to a house in Dark Falls. They bought the house from Compton Dawes for cheap and began to settle in.
In the television episode she owns a wreath that is a family heirloom. It was supposed to bring good luck. As it turned out, the wreath kept the zombies at bay until it was burned with the thought that it was actually attracting them. After it was burned, the zombies swarmed the Benson home. Penelope and the rest of her family were saved when sunlight destroyed the zombies.
