Nora Manning, played by Carolyn Craig, is a character in the 1959 film House on Haunted Hill.
Manning was invited to a party hosted by Frederick Loren. She's an employee at one of Loren's companies. The party Loren is throwing for his fourth wife Annabelle in an allegedly haunted house he has rented, promising to give each $10,000 with the stipulation that they stay the entire night in the house after the doors are locked at midnight.
Though Nora doesn't realize it, she is being used as a pawn by Annabelle, who is trying to have her so afraid that she will shoot Frederick with the gun he provided with each guest. However, guessing her plot, he loaded Nora's gun with blanks. So when she did indeed shoot at Frederick, he faked his own death in order to lure Annabelle to her death.
