Mr. Matthews is a character in the Goosebumps novella Attack of the Mutant written by R. L. Stine. In the television adaptation, he was played by Maurice Godin.
Mr. Matthews is married to Mrs. Matthews. Their son Skipper is obsessed with comic books, especially The Masked Mutant. In the television adaptation, when Mr. Matthews catches Skipper reading a comic before finishing his homework, Mr. Matthews angrily scolds him. However, later when Skipper seems down, Mr. Matthews hands him a comic book to cheer him up.
