Mary-Ellen is a character in the Goosebumps book Bride of the Living Dummy written by R. L. Stine.
Mary-Ellen is a doll that was intended to be a gift for Katie and Amanda Zinman. However, it's not long before she reveals she's alive and wants to make the girls her slave. They torment their other sister Jillian. After a puppet show, Jillian becomes the owner of the discarded Slappy who her father fixes for her.
Mary-Ellen uses Slappy to further terrorize Jillian. She eventually brings him to life using the magic words, but he rejects her. The two eventually get into a fight leading to both of their deaths when they caught up in a saw.
