Mario, played by Alfred DeSoto, is a character in the 1959 film The Killer Shrews.
Mario is a lab assistant to Dr. Marlowe Cragis and Dr. Radford Baines.
While barricaded in the lab, Mario manages to kill one of the shrews, but not before getting bit. Despite the wound being cared for, Mario succumbs to his injury. It is discovered by Dr. Baines that the shrews' saliva is highly toxic.
