
Maria, played by Marylin Harris, is a character in the film Frankenstein.
Maria is the daughter of Ludwig, a farmer. She is out picking flowers when Frankenstein's Monster approaches her. He plays with her a bit, throwing the heads of flowers into the water to watch them float. The Monster grabs Maria picks up Maria and throws her into the water, thinking she'd float too, but instead she drowns. The frightened Monster runs away.
In the parody film Young Frankenstein, her character is renamed Helga, and she survives to encounter when Frankenstein's Monster tries to play with her on a seesaw, he launches her through her upstairs bedroom where she lands safely on her bed.
