Lindy Powell is a character featured in the R. L. Stine novella Night of the Living Dummy.
Lindy and Kris Powell are twins who find the ventriloquist dummy Slappy in a dumpster. Linda keeps the dummy for herself and begins performing with him. Due to her newfound popularity, Kris gets a dummy of her own and names him Mr. Wood.
Kris discovers a card in Mr. Wood's pocket that says Karru Marri Odonna Loma Molonu Karrano. After reciting the words, strange things begin to happen. Mr. Wood begins insulting people and vomiting all over the audience at the talent show. Everyone blames Kris, but she knows that it's Mr. Wood who is responsible.
Mr. Wood reveals that he is alive to Kris and Lindy, telling them he wants them as his slaves. They try to destroy him to no avail. it's not until a steamroller crushes him that they are able to get away from him. When they return to their house, they find Slappy is also alive.
