L'auberge Ensorcelee is a short French film by Georges Méliès and was released in 1897. It centers around a man who is staying in a hotel but is being harrassed by a ghost. Items from the room disappear and reappear, boots up and walk on their own and at one point a bed completely disappears.
Most special effects were created by jump-cuts.
