Koji Kobayashi, played by Minoru Chiaki, is a character in the film Godzilla Raids Again.
Kobayashi was a pilot who scouted for fish for an Osaka company. Both he and Shoichi Tsukioka were out scouting when they spotted a large school of tuna. Unfortunately Kobayashi's plane malfunctioned, causing him to land on Iwato Island. Tsukioka managed to find his plane, landed and the two quickly found the island was inhabited by both Godzilla and another large monster who were fighting. The monsters tumbled into the ocean allowing for the pilots to leave.
After the monsters made landfall in Osaka, the other monster was named Anguirus. The two pilots went on a scouting mission to find them after the two monsters destroyed Osaka and returned to sea. They spotted Godzilla on an island and Kobyayshi informed the Navy. They Navy repeatedly bombed Godzilla to no effect. Godzilla was about to enter the sea again so Kobayashi attempted to distract him with his plane. Godzilla shot him down, causing him to crash into the mountainside, killing him.
