Karen Thurston, played by Jessica Greco, is a character in the television adaptation of the Goosebumps book Welcome to Dead House written by R. L. Stine. In the book, her name was Karen Somerset.
Karen is a resident of Dark Falls befriends Amanda Benson when she and her family first move to town. Karen turns out to be a zombie and, like the other Dark Falls town members, she needs to feed. She begs Amanda to let it happen promising it won't hurt and that they could be friends forever.
When she is destroyed by sunlight at the end of the book, she thanks Amanda. In the television adaptation, she simply crumbles into smoke and dust.
