Joseph Payne Brennan, born December 20, 1918, was an author and poet of horror and fantasy fiction. He won several awards throughout his career and was published dozens of times in major magazines and anthologies.
His stories have been translated into several languages and also adapted into several television episodes and radio programs. He is probably best known for his novelette "Slime".
Brennan died January 28, 1990 at the age of 71.
