In the ancient past, the monster Jiger ravaged the land. However, a batch of brave warriors managed to defeat the legendary juggernaut and imprisoned her on Wester Island. Unable to escape due to a fabled Devil’s State above her tomb, she was hoped to be locked away forever. However, fate wouldn’t be so kind. In 1970, a team of scientists removed the statue in order to put it on display. Despite Gamera’s attempts to thwart the operation, all went according to plan. When the scientists left, Jiger revived. She burst from the ground like the living dead and immediately attacked the terrapin giant.
The pair were matched in strength, but Jiger gained the upper hand thanks to her spears. Impaling them through all of Gamera’s limbs, she prevented the guardian from moving and retracting his limbs into his shell. She then left the great reptile behind and moved through the water. In due time, she arrived in Japan. She annihilated Osaka and devastated the arm forces. Entire patches of the city was burnt to a crisp thanks to her lethal microwave way. Soon, it was discovered she was following the Devil’s Whistle. However, as night fell upon the battleground, the mighty Gamera returned.
The tusked giant battled the quadruped behemoth, this time managing to flip her over. However, Jiger quickly countered with her suction and got hold of the shelled guardian. Her tail lifted and the stinger thrust into his shoulder, injecting an egg! Unable to go on, Gamera left the battle and collapsed. He was defeated and near death from the embryo rapidly growing within him. Continuing to follow the one object capable of imprisoning her, she began to rest outside the expo site. However, when wind blew through the statue and made the unique whistle sound, she immediately grabbed it with her suction and tossed it into the water.
Shortly afterward, the baby inside of Gamera was killed and the prehistoric monster was fully revived. Once again he challenged the horned monstrosity, but this time he was prepared. He dodged her spears and placed telephone poles in his ears to protect his hearing from her ray. When she tried utilizing her lethal tail, he clubbed it brutally with a large tip of a building. With Jiger wounded, Gamera dove into the water and retrieved the Devil’s Whistle. As he emerged from the depths, Jiger launched into the air in pursuit. The guardian spun around and and launched it at the airborne reptile, stabbing her directly between the eyes with it! The living curse of Wester Island was near death and the terrapin gathered her up and flew her back to the island where she could die in peace.
