Mr. Tophat, played by Marcus Cochran, is a character in the Are You Afraid of the Dark? Carnival of Doom series.
Mr. Tophat is the main antagonist in the Carnival of Doom series. He runs the carnival and wherever he goes, children go missing.
Originally Mr. Tophat ran a carnival but rushed it's opening, before the rides were fully ready. After people died, he was ruined. But when he was approached by the devil, he made a deal and gained powers to tour his carnival forevermore.
Scorpions often appear wherever he goes and he holds sway over his followers thanks to his powerful cane. Once his cane is destroyed by Rachel Carpenter, he ages rapidly and is destroyed.
