Eugene, played by Michael Faustino, is a fictional character in the 1987 film The Monster Squad.
Eugene was the youngest member in The Monster Squad until Sean's younger sister Phoebe is let into the club.
Eugene has a knack for encountering the monsters when no one else is there to see it. He was afraid to go to bed because of "a monster in his closet". His dad, mostly in jest, ushers the monster out of his closet without looking in its direction. As it turned out, the Mummy was indeed in his closet and left via Eugene's window before his dad could see him.
Later he was trying to eat a Twinkie when his dog, Pete, knocks it out of his hand. After it lands in the pond, the Creature bursts out of the water scaring Eugene. After it submerged back into the water, he told the other Squad members "creature ate my Twinkie".
After the final confrontation when The Monster Squad vanquished the monsters, the military shows up in force, responding to Eugene's letter he wrote in crayon asking for help against the monsters earlier in the week.
