Dr. Jackson, played by Richard Carlson, is a character from the 1941 film Hold That Ghost.
Camille is a doctor with the capacity of scientific experimentation. She hitches a ride with Ferdie Jones, Chuck Murray, Norma Lind, and Camille Brewster. A rain storm prevents the driver for taking them any further than the first stop, The Forester Club, which Ferdie and Chuck own thanks to Moose Matson's will.
Once noticing the water tastes strange, Dr. Jackson runs experiments to find out what makes it that way. He is so involved in his work, he is oblivious to Norma Lind's advances. Once she gets angry at him for not noticing, he realizes he loves her too.
