Deep Sleep is a short story written by Matthew J. Costello. It was first published in the 1992 anthology Dracula: Prince of Darkness, edited by Martin H. Greenberg. It was reprinted in the 1994 anthology Sea-Cursed: Thirty Terrifying Tales of the Deep, edited by Stefan Dziemianowicz, Martin H. Greenberg, and T. Liam McDonald, and again in the 2003 anthology Horrible Beginnings, edited by Martin H. Greenberg and Steven H. Silver.
