Chris Redfield RE8

Chris Redfield is a fictional character in Capcom's Resident Evil (Biohazard in Japan) survival horror video game series. Chris debuted as one of the two playable characters of the original Resident Evil video game, alongside his partner Jill Valentine, as a member of the Raccoon City police department's Special Tactics And Rescue Service (S.T.A.R.S). Vowing to never let any tragedies like Raccoon City happen again Chris becomes a founding member of the United Nations' Bioterrorism Security Assessment Alliance (B.S.A.A) in order to protect the innocent and prevent any B.O.W spread.

Chris also appears in Resident Evil - Code: Veronica, in which he looks for his missing younger sister, Claire Redfield, and in Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles, where he manages to take down the Umbrella Corporation with Jill. Chris returned in Resident Evil 5, working alongside his new partner Sheva Alomar, and in Resident Evil: Revelations. Chris returns in Resident Evil 6, where he and his partner Piers Nivans attempt to stop a worldwide bio-terrorism attack. He makes a cameo appearance at the end of Resident Evil 7: Biohazard, leading a revised Umbrella Corporation team aligned with the B.S.A.A, and stars in the game's downloadable content Not a Hero and End of Zoe. Chris returns in Resident Evil Village as the Alpha leader of Hound Wolf squad of the B.S.A.A.

Chris also appears in Resident Evil: Afterlife, the fourth film in the live-action film series, played by Wentworth Miller. Chris also appears in the 2017 computer animated film Resident Evil: Vendetta, set in the same continuity as the video games. He has appeared twice in the cross-franchise Marvel vs. Capcom titles such as Marvel vs. Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds and Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite game series. The character has been well received by critics, being considered one of the most important characters in the franchise, and recognized for his sex appeal. Some have also commented on the character's notable visual redesigns across the franchise.
