Carl, played by Adam Gordon, is a character in the television series Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
Carl, while leading to other vampires Zack and Justin, is out on Halloween night. They are encountered by Spike, who reminds them there is an agreement not to go out on Halloween, but Carl tells him he's a rebel. Spike scoffs and tells him he's not a rebel, he's an idiot, and kills him with a crossbow.
