Cameron is the son of Lonnie Elam and the boyfriend of Allyson Nelson.
In Halloween, he and Allyson coordinate to dress up for the Halloween dance at school. They plan to go as gender-swapped Bonnie and Clyde, he is Bonnie, she is Clyde.
But first he meets with her family for a celebratory dinner to acknowledge Allyson's academic achievements. He and Allyson's dad, Ray, hit it off since Ray used to buy drugs off Cameron's dad. But before long, Laurie Strode, Allyson's grandmother shows up drunk and embarrasses Allyson and her parents.
At the dance, Cameron's friend Oscar Berlucchi brings alcohol and he and Cameron get drunk. As Allyson is talking to her friend Vicky on the phone, she spots Cameron kissing another girl. She confronts him and leaves after he ruined her phone by throwing it in cheese dip.
In Halloween Kills, Cameron is walking home and discovers a nearly dead Frank Hawkins. He calls his dad and they all rendezvous at Haddonfield Memorial Hospital. While there, he reconciles with Allyson who has learned that Michael Myers had escaped Laurie's house and was killing again. The two of them leave the hospital with Lonnie and head to the Myers House where Lonnie has determined that Michael is heading.
Within moments of entering the house, Cameron and Allyson hear a gunshot. They both enter and find Lonnie dead and stuffed in the attic door. After searching the house, Cameron is attacked by Michael and is slammed through the spindles of the upstairs banister and repeatedly slammed into it. Allyson taunts Michael from the bottom of the stairs in an attempt to save Cameron. However, as Michael walks down the steps, he stops by Cameron's head and breaks his neck.
