Bub, played by Sherman Howard, is a character in the 1985 film Day of the Dead.
Bub is a largely tamed zombie who was captured ad taught by Dr. Matthew Logan to engage passivly in human behavior. Bub shows and interest in a Stephen King novel, though is unable to read it. He also glides a razor down his cheek, knowing it is used to shave.
He shows affection for Dr. Logan but dislikes Captain Henry Rhodes, likely due to Rhodes' anger towards Logan.
After Rhodes kills Dr. Logan after it is discovered that Logan was ussing Rhode's fallen soldiers as food for Bub, Bub later gets his revenge by shooting Rhodes who, while trying to get away, accidentally enters a corridor full of zombies where he is torn apart and eaten.
