Black Thing at Midnight

Black Thing at Midnight is a short story written by Joseph Payne Brennan. It was first published in the magazine Magazine of Horror, January 1965. It was reprinted in the 1973 collection Stories of Darkness and Dread and in the 2008 collection The Featter from Afar and Other Ghastly Visitants.
