Baron Frankenstein, played by Frederick Kerr, is a character in the 1931 film Frankenstein.
Baron Frankenstein is the father of Dr. Henry Frankenstein. He and Burgomaster Vogel arrange for Henry's wedding celebration in the village. Later, when Henry has been gone in the Bavarian Alps for an extended period working on his experiments, the Baron becomes frustrated, nearly cancelling the wedding.
When Henry finally returns, the Baron excitedly celebrates the wedding that's on again. After Frankenstein's Monster shows up and kidnaps Henry, a search party arranged by Vogel tracks him down. They rescue Henry and burn down the mill where the Monster was hiding. The Baron celebrates the wedding with his house staff, allowing them all to drink champagne.
