Asagi Kusanagi, played by Ayako Fujitani, is a character featured in the Gamera film series.
Kusanagi maintained a psychic link with Gamera in Gamera: Guardian of the Universe and Gamera 2: Attack of Legion. She only lost her bond after Gamera's defeat of Legion when it was broken after reviving him from what amounted to being a fatal final battle.
Asagi and Mayumi Nagamine plead with Ayana Hirasaka to break her psychic link with Iris in Gamera 3: The Awakening of Iris. However, Ayana wanted revenge on Gamera for inadvertently killing her parents while batting Gyaos. When Iris is killed, Ayana died with him until Asagi begged Gamera to revive her.
