A Hero of the Spican Conflict is a poem written by Bruce Boston. It was first published in the magazine Aboriginal Science Fiction, November-December 1987. It was reprinted in the 1990 collection Faces of the Beast, in the 2006 anthology On Our Way to the Battle: Poetry from the Trenches, edited by Samantha Henderson, and in the 2016 collection Brief Encounters with My Third Eye: Selected Short Poems 1975-2016.
